I do love to dabble in a bit of travel photography, especially street photography, when I'm on holiday abroad. After Kalyan's haircut in PD while visiting my parents who live in Malaysia,we had a little stroll around downtown Port Dickson and I grabbed some shots of our surroundings. I loved the unexpected colour in the back streets and the contrast between old and new, the pretty tiled areas or modern vending machines against peeling paint, rust and mouldy walls, it's such a humid place and this appears to be a common effect.
I don't always include local people in my shots as I'm not always brave enough to ask or subtle enough to shoot without asking (for true candid shots), but sometimes I do. The collection below is without locals but all about the colours I noticed as we wandered around the streets.
