I love my coffee in the morning. The milkier the better for me but I still need to taste the coffee so I usually have 3 shots from our awesome bean-to-cup machine. (Well worth the investment, the cost per cup is super low given the amount we use it!)
Anyway, I usually have my morning latte in my travel mug to keep it hot while driving to work or getting everyone ready for school, etc. But lately I've been switching to the icy version, for obvious reasons!!! This heat wave is a struggle without air-con right?
I thought I'd pop the recipe up here as it's super simple and quick but SO tasty and cooling!
Ingredients (serves 2):
Ice cubes
300mls Semi-skimmed milk
2 scoops of Tesco Finest Café Latte Ice-cream (this is the only coffee flavoured ice-cream I like!)
4-6 shots of espresso (to taste)
Method:
Place lots of ice in two tall glasses.
Add the milk and ice-cream to a blender and whizz for 30 seconds. Pour the milky mixture into your glasses, over the ice.
Pour over the espresso shots into each glass until you reach your desired coffee flavour and/or caffeination level. Stir with a straw and enjoy!
(Thanks Mum for being my pouring assistant!)
