I'm delighted to announce that my photo of Priya has been selected for the winners' gallery by judge Shana Lopes in the Life Framer "Colors" competition!
Shana is curator at the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco (SFMoMA).
From the Life Framer Winners' Gallery:
"These images represent the very best of today’s photography, as selected by our jury members. Congratulations to these talented photographers. Your work holds power!"
"Through the privilege of photography, photographers convey their most intimate emotions and reactions to color. The judge, Shana Lopes, immersed herself in colorful scenes and powerful emotions, looking for genuine vulnerability and self-exposure."
And the comments about my photo:
"The photograph uses colors to showcase their influence on our younger selves but also their impact on the way we perceive our bodies and beauty. It’s a complex composition with multiple layers of depth, contrasts, and options for interpretation. The photographer is deeply engaged with the subject and has a clear vision of the message they want to convey. As a result, the photograph is a conversation starter."
